#TBT This is a very special image from the archives from early 1990’s when we were working with populations living under the bridge. This was some of the first work the CRHF officially did.In the image victor and his mom lived under a bridge in Lindora when we first met them. We helped by building them a home. We were with his mom to her last days and worked with Victor to find a foster mom who took good care of him into his own independence.We helped all the families living under bridges in the Santa Ana area at the time to find homes or better living arrangements. This was also part of the Lagos de Lindora government housing program CRHF volunteers collaborated with. We also set up an exhibition at the Museo de Niños to foster greater sensitivity among the local and international community about the challenges people living in these situations face. #nonprofit #costarica #lacarpio #ngo #costarica🇨🇷 #tbt ... #tbt throwback Thursday. 2019 When we applied for a grant with the Japanese to build a clinic, 3 aqueducts and remodel 5 clinics. It’s no more then 4 years since we met with the Cabecar Development Association in La Sabana and went up the 10 story building to receive the check. To date the aqueducts and clinics are fully functional.
