Jeancarlos’ New Home

August 14, 2023 Gail Nystrom

Jeancarlos receiving keys and legal papers for the house we donated to his mother. She is then giving her house to her son and his wife Brenda. They have a baby son and Brenda will now be able to take custody of her two sisters since the house is bigger. A win win win

We were donated Masitas playdough last week. This is an amazing clay that smells and feels very great. In keeping with our week about healthy eating, the kids created a plateful of healthy fruits and vegetables! Can you find the grapes? 🍓🍎🍇🍌🍋🎃#health #diet #nonprofit #costarica #food @masitas_cr ... It’s that time of year again in beautiful Costa Rica 🌿🌸The mountains and roads light up as the trees burst into color — yellow, orange, red, pink, white, and so much more. 🌈 There is such incredible beauty in the diversity this country has to offer.Pictured here is the stunning Tabebuia ochracea (Corteza Amarilla). When its bright yellow flowers fall, they create a golden carpet along the roadsides for a few magical days — a gift for anyone passing by. A simple but powerful reminder of how nature provides beauty, renewal, and joy in every season. 💛✨Eco-Camp has been one of our foundational programs, focusing on connecting youth from different backgrounds with nature. Through hikes, environmental education, team-building activities, and shared experiences outdoors, students learn not only about conservation — but about themselves and one another. In a country so rich in biodiversity, these moments matter. When people stand beneath trees like the Corteza Amarilla, feel the mountain air, and witness the changing seasons, they begin to understand their role as stewards of this land.Nature becomes the classroom. Diversity becomes the lesson. And respect for one another — and for creation — becomes the takeaway. 🌿#nature #nonprofit #environment #costarica #volunteer ... See MoreSee Less
